Marlin Natural Stones is a natural stone exploration and transformation company created in 2009. At first, the company was focused on producing split cubes since it supplied all the material for the requalification of Luanda Bay completed in 2012.
Subsequently, a transformation factory was created in the municipality of Chibia, about 40 km south of the city of Lubango, province of Huíla. This production unit works mainly with ornamental stones from its own quarries, such as granites – grey, black, green and pink – and white marble.
It uses specialized and state-of-the-art equipment, from internationally recognized brands such as Donatoni, Pellegrini, Pedrini, Nodosafer and Breton, allowing high precision in cutting and in the quality of finishes.
It presents a range of products in various formats, textures and finishes – polished, honed, brushed, shot-blasted, flamed and hydrofinishing – from blocks, slabs, tiles, cut-to-size and landscape projects, to pieces of art.
The company is focused on exporting its products, while serving the national market – Angola – and establishing production partnerships with other small or medium-sized companies that supply their local markets and that can leverage their transformation capacity.
It is a company that believes in strong synergies, being in constant business development with its national and international partners, with a view to the sustained growth of the sector. During 2023, Marlin has completed the supply of all the materials for the floor and facades of the new International Airport of Luanda Agostinho Neto, a total of 60.000 m2.
The company has a strong component of social responsibility, preferentially using local labour, and environmental responsibility through renewable energy and water recycling systems.
Despite being young, the company has strong skills due to qualified technicians with extensive experience in the sector, thus ensuring excellent products for its partners and customers all around the world.
Marlin is part of a business group made up of companies from various business areas, such as Tuamutunga (construction) and Nutriboty (health and wellness). In addition, is also part of an international cluster in the natural stone sector called Spatium Petra, which includes other companies such as GranumLux and LXrocks.
